Consumers complain massively about misleading marketing of Stevia
There are massive complaints at food watch about the way in which the sweetener Stevia is introduced on the Dutch market. The manufacturer puts 'Stevia' on the front of the packaging in cow letters, while only a small percentage of the content is actually Stevia. The rest is filled with cheap sweeteners such as Maltodextrin. "The way in which Stevia is marketed once again shows that the manufacturer, on the back of consumers, only wants to make a profit", says director Bart van Opzeeland.
